Welcome to Sweet Breeze: All aboard Sweet Breeze, Fort Wayne’s authentic replica of an 1840’s canal boat. The size and scale of the boat is that of an early canal boat. Sweet Breeze can accommodate 38 riders and includes on board restroom facilities. The boat is accessible to all. Fort Wayne Rivers: Tours of the St. Marys, St. Joseph, and Maumee Rivers teach students about the origins of our city and early reliance on river ways for commerce, travel, and everyday life. The name, Sweet Breeze: Our canal boat’s name was chosen by school students. The boat was named for Native American Miami Chief Little Turtle’s daughter, Sweet Breeze.
